Sinclair Paint Vs. Dunn Edwards

In 1980’s Los Angeles, it was Sinclair Paint vs. Dunn Edwards Paints. Most homeowners and painting contractors didn’t realize both companies used the identical color system. That’s because colors were named and numbered differently on each fan deck. The Sinclair and Dunn Edwards’ color stylists used identical hues from the same color provider. These decks contain exciting color chips from the early 1980’s.

The fan decks were printed by Colwell General Inc. This firm still makes color tools for Dunn Edwards, Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, Behr, PPG, Kelly Moore, and many other paint companies. All Los Angeles Painting Company, Inc. 310-470-9218 uses vintage and modern colors to inspire beautiful home and office color schemes.
