Sherwin Williams Los Angeles Rams Colors

Founded in 1936, The Rams entered the NFL as the Cleveland Rams. The team relocated to Los Angeles in 1946, making the NFL the first coast-to-coast professional sports entertainment industry. They made their first Super Bowl appearance in 1980 but were defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31-19.

Following the 1994 season, the Rams moved to St. Louis. Five seasons after relocating, the St. Louis Rams, led by Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner, won their first Super Bowl in 2000, defeating the Tennessee Titans, 23-16. The Rams returned to Los Angeles before the 2016 NFL season. The Rams won their second Super Bowl by defeating the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, 23-20.

The Cleveland Rams original colors were red and dark blue. However, their appearance was too similar to other NFL teams, so in 1937, the Rams adopted a blue and yellow color scheme. In the mid 1960’s, the team moved away from yellow in favor of a blue and white. That color scheme lasted almost a decade. In 1973 under Head Coach Chuck Knox, the Rams reintegrated the fan-favorite yellow into their color scheme. In 2000, after the team’s move to St. Louis, it shifted colors to a darker “Millenium Blue” and “New Century Gold.”

For the 2020 season, the rams updated their team colors to “Rams Royal” and “Sol.” The colors represent Southern California’ sunny blue skies. Use these Sherwin Williams Los Angeles Rams Colors for a special room or space decorating update.
