Sherwin Williams Cleveland Browns Colors

The origin of the Cleveland Browns’ iconic colors is tied to their co-founder and first head coach, Paul Brown. When the team was established, not only did it adopt the Brown’s name, it also selected brown as one of its primary colors. Coach Brown chose orange because it was used by his old high school team.

In the 1970’s and 1980’s, during the “Kardiac Kids” era, Browns players also wore orange pants. The Browns are the only team in the NFL without a logo on their helmets. Instead, the iconic logo-less orange helmet became the team’s official logo and synonymous with their brand.
