Keep Rain Gutters Clean

Pictured here is a vine growing in and around a rain gutter in Westwood 90024. Plants growing like this can block the gutters and force water inside your structure. The vine pictured here is doing double damage: It has grown under the gutter and will eventually detach it from the house, and it will dry rot the rafter tails and eaves.

Additionally, vines growing into rain gutters traps moisture at the bottom of the gutter which rots them out. There is no good reason to have plants growing on your house, make sure to trim them away from the structure.
